Our experienced nurse practitioners run our telephone triage and independently manage minor illness. They are able to prescribe a wide range of medication including the contraceptive pill.
Nurse Practitioners are very experienced and qualified to assess patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed medical problems. They will make detailed assessment of patients’ health care needs, based on their combined medical and nursing knowledge, including clinical skills that you may not have traditionally associated with nurses, such as history taking, physical examination, diagnoses, and prescribing of medicines. Nurse Practitioners can directly refer patients to clinical specialists, such as hospital consultants.
